MRDanceworks was established in 2011 by dance artist & choreographer Marjan Raar. The non profit organization has been performing The Windwhisper and Öde-Abandoned, both solodances in cooperation with other art forms and artists, by Marjan Raar, as its first productions.
The Gallerisalen in Turku, Finland is used as a performing space for these works. Dance performances, work in process evenings, courses and workshops are going to be scheduled in Gallerisalen from autumn 2012 forward. Season 2013-14 is focused on “ Kids meet Marginal Art”. A project where kids get to meet dance as an art form, by watching a performance within the school schedule, discussions with the artists and by trying out themselves.
